About Youth Campus

Supporting youth achievement in our community.

Youth Campus is a hub of professional and educational arts, training, and performance.

Continuing the Calgary Stampede’s legacy of bringing people together, Youth Campus provides space and opportunities for professional artists to flourish, and to help young people train & practice their craft.

The campus is the fruition of the Calgary Stampede’s and Calgary Stampede Foundation’s 10-year master plan and vision of creating a year-round, world-class gathering place for the community. The 10-acres of land with 465,000 sq. ft. of spaces features innovative, community-based programs; industry leading arts training facilities; and indoor and outdoor performance and gathering places. At the center of it all will be our state-of-the-art western heritage museum – The SAM Centre. Once complete, the campus will be a catalyst for learning, performing arts, and celebration, and where the community will draw inspiration from the past and build forward towards a bright future for Calgary.

BY CREATING PROGRAMS AND PLACES FOR YOUTH TO THRIVE, THE CALGARY STAMPEDE FOUNDATION CREATES MOTIVATED AND ENGAGED YOUNG CALGARIANS, EMPOWERED TO DO AMAZING THINGS.

Stronger Community

When you book at Youth Campus, you directly support our programs

Performing Arts

We develop young performers‘ talents in music, dance, voice, and performance in premier and award-winning performance ensembles. Performers are equipped to achieve their personal and career goals.

Education

We deliver immersive learning experiences by taking students out of the classroom and connecting them with community leaders. Students build life skills and gain a strong sense of belonging and community.

Indigenous

We serve Indigenous youth by preparing them for their bright future. Working with Indigenous leaders, the program emphasizes the importance of traditional knowledge, cultural pride, pursuing your passions, and nurturing mental and physical health.

Agriculture

We create the next generation of agriculture leaders by honouring our past. Young people from both urban and rural communities learn to preserve and celebrate our western and agriculture traditions.
