Rate Policies

 

1. Time

ALL bookings will be booked/have access to the space 15 minutes prior to and 15 minutes after to account for setup and pack up.

  • Option to extend setup/pack up during booking

  • A 30-minute gap will be accounted for between different organizations to allow for smooth transition.

Uninterrupted use: If a booking has a 'gap' in their rental time, they are charged for the gap.

  • Example: two bookings at 8am-10am & 1pm-5pm will be billed as 8am-5pm as the space cannot be reasonably sold to another party in between.

Bookings are required to begin and end on the :00 or :30 minute mark (they cannot begin or end on the 15 minute mark.

 

2. Booking Submissions

All bookings must be submitted monthly through the Booking Submission System on the Campus Website.

  • Email submissions will not be accepted.

 

3. Minimum

Single bookings must be a minimum of 3 hours.

Single bookings cannot book just a small room (Solo Studio and Studio 5).

  • UNLESS the booking pays a fee equivalent to the minimum rental rate of 4 hours for a larger space.

 

4. Rates

TransAlta Performing Arts Studios

  • This venue is only billed/booked HOURLY

  • The MINIMUM hourly rate is $10/hour, regardless as to how the discount calculates.

    • For example, if the discounted rate becomes less than $10, the rate is $10.

Doherty Hall & Outdoor Spaces

  • These venues are only billed/booked by full day or half day

    • Half day is LESS than 4 hours (including setup)
