This meeting is intended to provide a high-level overview of upcoming events and activities, ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding key updates. While we aim to cover essential topics, we understand that some items may require more detailed discussion. For those instances, we encourage separate conversations outside of this meeting to ensure we can stay focused and respect everyone’s time.

 If an issue arises during the meeting that requires deeper discussion, we’ll set it aside for the end of the meeting. At that point, those directly involved can stay to work through the details, while others are free to continue with their day.

Safety Moment

  • Stampede Time Setup - You’ve likely noticed that setup for Stampede 2025 has already begun! Please ensure that you aware of your surroundings. For your own safety, stay alert for taped off zones, golf carts, physical obstacles, and set up equipment and tools.

What Has Happened Lately?

  • New grass near TransAlta Performing Arts Studio - Continue to avoid using the green space for large events and practices. We are now okay to use the grass for smaller scale activities

  • TransAlta Performing Arts HVAC - The new HVAC replacement has been installed! There are few minor steps remaining in the setup, but you should already notice a difference in the building. Our HVAC team is very excited about our new and improved system.

What Is Happening In The Next 60 Days?

Saturday June 7 – 8:00am-5:30pm

  • Western Canada High School - Solo Recitals

  • Doherty Hall 

  • We have promised them that there will be no bands practicing outdoors on June 7

Sunday June 8 - 2:00pm-5:00pm

  • Nola’s Recital

  • Calgary Fiddlers

  • Doherty Hall

Monday June 9 - 4:30pm-8:00pm

  • Branded - The Art of the Calgary Stampede Posters exhibit donor reception

  • Sam Centre

Monday June 16 - 5:30pm-8:30pm

  • Youth Performance Committee meeting

  • Doherty Hall

Thursday June 19 – 5:00pm-8:30pm

  • Chuckwagon Committee meeting

  • Doherty Hall

  • 50-100 guests

Saturday June 14 -5:30pm-10:30pm

  • Calgary Stampede Presidents Event

  • 500 guests

  • Set up will begin in the plaza on Thursday June 12

  • There will be a large tent going up in Enbridge Plaza

  • Event will take place at Sam Centre, Maisie, Doherty Hall, and all Campus outdoor spaces

Construction Updates

  • Stampede Trail will be open by the end of June.

  • Construction at event center will stop for Stampede

Other Important Notes

  • The Daily Function Schedule is an in depth look at what is happening each day on Campus

  • For Resident Programs, your 2025/2026 calendar submissions are due now

  • Sam Centre is now open to the public Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm. Times will be different during the 10 days of Stampede

  • The G7 Summit is taking place in Kananaskis June 15-17. One of the protest zones is close to Stampede Park at Enoch/ East Victoria Park – 1102 Macleod Trail S.E. 

  • Rotary International is taking place in Calgary June 21-25. There will be 18,000 attendees, many of whom will be at Stampede Park.

Stampede Time

  • Philanthropy will use Doherty Hall for donor hosting

  • Calgary Stampede Showband will be based out of TransAlta Performing Arts and Calgary Arts Academy

  • Band of Outriders and Guest Bands will be based out of Calgary Arts Academy

  • Fanfare 2025 (1500-2000 people) will take place on Enbridge Plaza July 6

  • Sam Centre and Maisie will be fully closed July 7 and July 9
