March 2022 at Campus

Hello Everyone

Here is your update for Campus for March 2022

Confirm Your Bookings

Campus, and specifically the TransAlta Performing Arts Studios, is currently the busiest venue here at Stampede Park.

In February 2022 there was OVER 300 different room reservations. This is a HUGE amount of information to process in order to ensure organizations are billed correctly.

In order to ensure billing accuracy, PLEASE follow these instructions to confirm your upcoming bookings.

I'd like to get in the habit to confirm 60 days out if possible. (So for March, I'd appreciate it if you could confirm April as well)

This does not mean you can't make schedule changes as needed, but it helps flag issues far enough in advance to resolve them.

STEP 1: Lookup your bookings here:

{Search by org -> In the menu bar go to: “DATA” -> “FILTER VIEWS” -> *Your org*}

If you see any status other than “Confirmed” it means you have not confirmed your bookings with us yet

Revised COVID Policies at Campus

As a result of the Government of Alberta’s lifting of pandemic restrictions on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, the Calgary Stampede Foundation is adapting its policies and protocols, pending any future changes to guidance recommended by the health authorities.

Since March 2020, we have kept the safety of our program members, volunteers, and staff at the forefront, while navigating the ever-changing impacts of the pandemic.  To date, there have been no known transmissions of COVID-19 through any CSF performance program. We once again thank you for your diligence, commitment, and flexibility as we modified our programs through these times.

In accordance with the Calgary Stampede and Stampede Foundation COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), there are adjustments being made to protocols required on Stampede Park.

Starting March 1, 2022:

  • Masking will not be required, but those who would prefer to continue to mask are encouraged to do so.

  • Distancing is encouraged wherever possible.

  • Anyone who does not feel well should stay home until their symptoms resolve.

  • All capacity limits will be lifted.

The Stampede and Stampede Foundation will continue to monitor the evolving health guidance with the anticipation that the COVID Vaccination Policy will be paused, effective March 14, 2022.

Building Security

It has come to our attention that some organizations are propping open the main lobby doors of the TransAlta Building.

As per the Shared Spaces Agreement Section 1.0

1.1.1 - If doors are left unlocked, a representative of the renting organization must be present at or around the reception desk during this time.

Construction Pending

There is some pending construction occurring between March 23 - 28 along 14 Ave beside Calgary Arts Academy.

At this point it does not look like there will be a road closure; if this changes I’ll be sure to update the specific groups that this affects.
